’47 Brand was founded by Italian twin brothers living in the shadow of Fenway Park – the Boston Red Sox stadium – in 1947. Arthur and Henry D’Angelo saw the love and passion of the sport fans coming out of the stadium and decided to move from selling newspapers to making and selling pennants for 25 cents. They eventually bought the building opposite of the stadium and began to craft baseball hats that would become the symbol of sports fans' unwavering loyalty.
Today the brand is popular for licensed apparel and, true to their origins, for their famous caps and beanies. Being an officially licensed partner of the Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and the National Basketball Association, there is a pretty good chance that if you’ve ever worn a team’s hat or shirt before, you‘ve worn something by ’47.
