The late great Kobe Bryant and the legendary FC Barcelona have a history of different collaborative projects, ranging as far back as a noteworthy duo of Nike Kobe 6s. Now, the two staples of the Nike roster unite yet again, turning to another legendary silhouette from the Mamba’s on-court exploits: The iconic Air Force 1.
The newly released Protro edition of the AF1 Low features the club crest on both the dubrae and the tongue, while a custom sockliner pays tribute to the legendary team. Premium leather uppers with snakeskin embossing nod to the Black Mamba himself, dressed in the Blaugrana’s 2025 off-pitch color palette of Persian Violet and Black.
Kobe-specific details extend far beyond materials and colors, though. The legend’s five championship seasons are etched into the five concentric rings of the outsole tooling. As with every Protro edition, performance updates come standard: ReactX foam and Nike Air cushioning combine to deliver elevated comfort and responsiveness.
