Flipping one of the most revered AJ VI colorways, the Air Jordan VI ‘Infrared Salesman’ finally makes the jump from myth to retail reality and revives a long-lost salesman sample originally designed in 1999. Long discussed among collectors, the unreleased prototype now arrives for the first time, shining a light on Jordan Brand’s early sample culture that saw retailers receiving said samples before handing in their orders.
Staying true to its origins, the silhouette – also dubbed ‘Reverse Infrared’ – features a smooth black nubuck upper paired with Light Crimson accents across the midsole, tongue logo, lace lock, and heel tab branding. Subtle details reinforce its sample heritage, including a dedicated hangtag and an original-style sockliner stamp reading “Jordan Property Of ______” and “Not For Resale.” A reversed midsole arrangement amplifies the fiery contrast, while embroidered Nike Air on the heel rounds out the pair.
The Air Jordan VI ‘Infrared Salesman’ in Men’s, GS, PS, and TD sizes releases at BSTN on Saturday, February 14th. Pick up your pair via the button below!
