PUMP! DUNK! BALLGAME!

Thirty years ago, Dee Brown paused briefly to pump up his sneakers before delivering his infamous no-look dunk that went down in history. That short sequence went on to become one of the most iconic moments in NBA Dunk Contest of all time.

Pitted against an athletic freak and the clear-cut contest favorite in 6-10 Sonics star forward Shawn Kemp, Brown relied on creativity and showmanship to take home the victory in the 1991 contest. And while he later admitted that his infamous no-look dunk was a product of on-the-spot ingenuity rather than advance planning, it certainly became an all-time fan favorite!

Dee Brown won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest thirty years ago in the original release of the Reebok Pump Omni Zone II. And as the shoe became an integral part of the performance itself, it instantly turned into a highly sought-after silhouette that played a significant role in jumpstarting the popularity of Reebok’s Pump sneaker line.

To commemorate Dee Brown’s iconic 1991 Slam Dunk Contest win, BSTN is launching a limited-edition tee in collaboration with retro sportswear manufacturers extraordinaire Mitchell & Ness. The t-shirt matches the Reebok Pump Omni Zone II and is available exclusively at BSTN!

Both, the exclusive Mitchell & Ness tee and the retro Reebok Pump Omni Zone II, release at BSTN on Friday, March 5th. Secure your favorite piece of Slam Dunk Contest memorabilia via the buttons below!
