An impressive forty years in the game, the iconic Air Jordan I has seen its fair share of colorways and re-releases. Among signature shoes, it might even be as untouchable as its namesake was at his peak. But for the special anniversary edition, the Jumpman is bringing back the most historically accurate version of the Air Jordan I of all time.
Scanned, tooled, and obsessed to reflect the original’s specs, the special-edition retro matches the version from 1985 as close as it possibly can, resulting in a sleeker toe shape, upright heel stance, and retro stitching. The revamped wings logo as well as the original Swoosh shape and tongue label make this release stand out from the crowd.
Meticulous is an understatement. Obsessive is probably a more appropriate word.
