Before the Air Jordan III ‘Seoul’ hit shelves in 2018 – marking both three decades of Jordan Brand and the legacy of the ’88 Seoul Olympics – no Air Jordan Retro had ever worn a national flag quite that boldly. A highly-coveted pair not only among South Korean collectors ever since, the story continues now with the highly-anticipated ‘Seoul 2.0’ featuring a fresh twist on the modern classic.
Dressed in a color palette of White, Sport Royal, Challenge Red, and Black, the Air Jordan III ‘Seoul 2.0’ boasts a premium white leather base with contrasting elephant print overlays in suede. New details can be found on the midsole with pre-aged yellowing, a stitched Royal blue collar design nodding to traditional Korean garments, as well as Korean embroidery behind the tongue:
One, 꿈/ GGUEM, translates to ‘dream’ in Korean, while the other, 정/ JEONG, references the uniquely Korean concept of deep emotional connection that goes beyond friendship and love. A South Korean flag on the left tongue, contrasted by a Jumpman on the right, together with a grey rubber outsole round out the pair.
The Air Jordan III Retro ‘Seoul 2.0’ releases at BSTN on Saturday, May 17th. For your chance to purchase a pair, make sure to enter the BSTN Raffle before Friday, May 16th, at 12 AM CEST via the button below!
