The Air Jordan IV ‘Flight Club’ looks back to the late ’80s and early ’90s, not by revisiting MJ’s on-court dominance, but by spotlighting the fan culture that surrounded it: the eponymous Flight Club mail-in membership. Launched in 1989 – the same year the AJ IV first dropped – it connected Jordan’s most dedicated followers through exclusive newsletters, behind-the-scenes access, and limited extras.
That spirit returns via a bold Flight Club logo on the tongue, while wavy perforations on the suede mudguard reference the printed pages of the original newsletters. The magazine’s white, red, and black color scheme is echoed through a Sail and white leather upper with black and University Red accents. Graphic insoles, Nike Air branding on the heel, extra laces, and custom packaging round out the release.
The Air Jordan IV ‘Flight Club’ releases at BSTN on Saturday, January 24th. Pick up your pair via the button below!
