To celebrate the return of the Air Jordan IV ‘Lightning’ for the first time since 2006, BSTN has teamed up with bicycle builders extraordinaire (and fellow Bavarians) Ruff Cycles and Munich’s go-to destination for plant-based fast food Dr. Drooly to create a one-of-a-kind e-bike. The bicycle as well as the iconic fours take a beloved concept from the past to the streets of today.
The bike was not only designed to fit the AJIV’s highly anticipated Lightning colorway to a tee thanks to a series of custom-built accessories but also to make a positive impact in the community through a series of various donations. The collaboration of three local trailblazers re-thinks classic icons (from Jordans fourth signature shoe, to 70s bikes, to pizza) in a new and sustainable way.
True to BSTN’s “La Famiglia Prima Di Tutto” philosophy, leaving a lasting impact in the community was a matter of heart for all three collaborators. That’s why the e-bikes will not only ensure that Dr. Drooly’s deliveries will be emission-free from now on, but the entire crew made sure to saddle up for a special delivery of healthy and nutritious meals for a local orphanage.
Hand-built in Regensburg, the jointly created limited-edition version of Ruff Cycles’ “Lil’Buddy” cyclet is equipped with a Bosch Active Line motor and battery pack that ensure assisted propulsion for about 85 kilometers with zero emissions whatsoever. The special collaborative version matches the tour yellow/white/dark grey color scheme of the Air Jordan IV ‘Lightning’ and features various hidden details and logo branding from Dr. Drooly, Ruff Cycles, and BSTN.
Members of the BSTN community will have the unique chance to get their hands on the special-edition e-bike (limited to only five pieces worldwide). The raffle is hosted on the BSTN Instagram channel and runs until August 31st. Follow @bstnstore for details!
