When Jordan Brand and Zion Williamson first dropped the collaborative Air Jordan I Low ‘Voodoo’ back in 2022, it paid homage to the voodoo culture of New Orleans – hometown of Williamson’s Pelicans. Now, the Voodoo Alternate takes that same spirit and flips it – literally and figuratively – into something slightly darker, richer, and even more enigmatic. We’re talking less daylight charm, more midnight ritual.
The AJ I Low ‘Voodoo Alternate’ features a vivid mix of blue and purple hues across a suede, purple canvas, and burlap texture pattern across both shoes for an unbalanced yet intentional premium look. Raw edges, inverted logos, and exposed stitching give it a handcrafted energy. On the heel, an embroidered voodoo doll head keeps the theme alive, while flipped Wings logos can be found on the heel tabs – which, when folded up, reveal ‘Voodoo’ and ‘Zion’ graphics. Upside-down tongue tags and rope laces plus extra sets of laces round out the pair.
