Forget Halloween and your pumpkin-spiced lattes! While the release date of the highly anticipated Air Jordan I Shattered Backboard 3.0 might lead you to believe that spooky season has anything to do with the shoes’ stand-out color scheme, you’re in for a trick rather than a treat!
The orange and black version of Jordan’s iconic first signature shoe was not only inspired by but also aptly named after young Michael’s heroics he performed (and the jersey he wore) during an exhibition game for Nike in Trieste, Italy in the summer of 1985. However, in a more extensive video you probably have not seen, the swagger of a young (pre-injury!) Mike coming off of his stellar rookie season is on full display.
