DINGYUN ZHANG X ADIDAS SAMBA

After collaborating with Marni, as well as designing the Yeezy line’s iconic 700 Wave Runner series, Mongolian-Chinese designer Dingyun Zhang joins forces with adidas on his own. The result is a subtle-yet-thoughtful rendition of the adidas Samba that nods to Y2K skate styles via exaggerated proportions, while a monochromatic color scheme lets the modified design speak for itself.

Giving the iconic sneaker silhouette a sleek all-black update, the shoes boast suede accents on the toe overlays, while patent leather can be found on the side panels adorned with delicately stitched Three Stripes. Co-branding on the tongues rounds out the pair that comfortably sits on a black rubber sole.

The Dingyun Zhang x adidas Samba releases at BSTN on Friday, May 10th. Pick up your pair via the button below!
