Following the announcement of Joe Robinson, Founder of Joe Freshgoods, being named Creative Director of New Balance’s Conversations Amongst Us collection, the first campaign starring Storm Reid and Kawhi Leonard is launching in May 2022. For this collection, Robinson directly collaborated with an all-Black product team (The Black Soles) at New Balance, headlined by Jordan Johnson and Kevin Trotman, to drive forward an intentionally designed collection.
The capsule features lifestyle sneakers like the 2002R and a reiterated 550, as well as apparel designed by the all-Black product team at New Balance. The ever popular 550 model features ‘Conversations Amongst Us’ branding on the tongue label and sockliner, while the 2002R model features Ripstop and suede underlays representing the ability to recover quickly from troubling situations.
In part, clothing has been a big part of our culture, influencing the streets and the runway. A culture where you are only as fresh as your white sneakers. The Conversations Amongst Us collection by New Balance releases at BSTN in early May, 2022. While the apparel collection is already available, the limited-edition 550 will release at a later date (tbd.).
