The sneaker version of business in the front, comfort in the back originally premiered as a collaboration between New Balance and Junya Watanabe in the brand’s Fall/Winter ’24 show. Now, the latest edition of the juxtaposition of sneakers and more formal attire will be available in two additional colorways.
The new 1906 Loafer takes the silhouette’s signature features – the open holed mesh upper, the curvilinear synthetic overlays, and the 860v2 sole unit, featuring segmented ABZORB SBS pods at the heel – and reimagines them in the shape of a classic penny loafer. This design doesn’t just blur the lines between high-performance heritage and cutting-edge fashion; it erases the distinction altogether.
Two new colorways of the New Balance 1906 LOAFER – Black as well as Rich Oak – release at BSTN on Wednesday, February 5th. Pick up your pair via the button below!
