NIKE DUNK LOW GEORGETOWN

While the Nike Dunk certainly has embraced some of the biggest and most traditional power houses in college basketball, the latest inspiration for the hardwood hightop turned skateboarding favorite turned collectors’ trophy turned overall footwear phenomenon might be one of the biggest of them all: Georgetown University.

An institution with a great reputation for both, academics and collegiate sports (especially college basketball), the Georgetown Hoyas lend their traditional dark blue and grey color scheme to the latest iteration of the iconic Dunk Low. The well-know color combination is only broken up by a crisp white midsole that ties the whole shoe together.

From the days of Patrick Ewing or Allen Iverson to the stars of the modern generation, the Georgetown uniform has always represented the pinnacle of the sport. In the mid-90s, the NBA game was dominated by big men and Georgetown supplied the elite of the elite. During that golden era of basketball, six centers represented the cream of the crop at the NBA All Star Game … and half of these superstars had gone to Georgetown.

The Nike Dunk Low ‘Georgetown’ releases at BSTN on Wednesday, September 8th. For your chance to purchase a pair, make sure to enter the BSTN Raffle before Tuesday, September 7th, at 3 pm CEST via the button below!
