Just in time for spring, Nike and Jacquemus unveil the next iteration of their collaborative Moon Shoe. Following the success of last fall’s debut drop, Simon Porte Jacquemus’ partnership with the Swoosh continues to blur the lines between sportswear heritage and high-fashion minimalism. Originally handcrafted by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman for the 1972 Olympic trials, the historic silhouette serves as the foundation for Jacquemus’ design vision, with Solange Knowles fronting the new colorways’ campaign.
Merging archival running DNA with balletcore aesthetics, the updated Moon Shoe arrives in fresh spring-ready colorways including Chocolate Brown and Sail. The silhouette features an elongated, narrow shape that fits almost like a ballet flat, highlighted by a gathered nylon upper and a snug elastic heel strap. Underfoot, a sustainable Nike Grind waffle outsole nods back to Bowerman’s original innovation while grounding the design in contemporary performance cues.
