Relying predominantly on local ranches and suppliers for their wool, Pendleton is a vertically integrated company. This means that Pendleton performs (and therefore controls) the various steps of the manufacturing process for many of its products. Raw wool is processed and made into fabric that’s constructed into home and fashion products. Vertical manufacturing gives the traditional American company the advantage of monitoring every step of the production process to maintain their premium quality and value through close attention to detail and high efficiency.
