First spotted on Pharrell’s feet at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, the ‘Jellyfish’ by adidas and the multi-hyphenate creative is ready to make its official debut. In true Pharrell fashion, the design follows his long-standing tradition of redefining adidas staples – from the Stan Smith to the Superstar – by merging archival DNA with a forward-thinking aesthetic.
Taking cues from the retro-inspired Response CL, the silhouette builds on adidas’ rich archive while introducing a sculptural twist. Its standout feature, a complex plastic exoskeleton, draws inspiration from the organic form of a jellyfish, wrapping the shoe in futuristic structure. A mix of textiles and synthetics on the upper delivers a lightweight yet architectural fit, while the rubber outsole ensures durability and stability underfoot.
