Sergio Tacchini has teamed up with Hip Hop artist and style innovator A$AP Nast on a collaborative collection that re-imagines iconic pieces from the brand’s archive. Possessing an organic ability to bridge diverse cultures across generations and geographies, Nast exemplifies Sergio Tacchini’s energy, attitude and prestige as “internationally known, locally respected.”
Raised in Harlem, A$AP Nast came up during the 90s in the epicenter of East Coast Hip Hop where Sergio Tacchini was a mainstay among the community and worn by the likes of NAS and the Notorious B.I.G. A member of A$AP Mob, Nast’s interests extend to art, film, design and international travel, contributing to his eclectic take on fashion by mixing high-end and street styles.
For the Sergio Tacchini x A$AP Nast Collaboration, Nast has hand-picked heritage Tacchini staples so he could put his spin on a range of tracksuits, fleece, tees, sneakers, a classic soccer jersey and bucket hat. Bright pops of purple and green are applied to color-blocked designs and premium fabrics, while a custom crest logo — inspired by Nast’s affinity for the UK soccer Hooligan culture — is incorporated throughout.
Highlights of the capsule include a Polar Fleece Pullover and Sweatpants, a long-sleeve Checkerboard Soccer Jersey and a Crinkle Nylon Tracksuit — harking back to the acclaimed ‘shell suits’ embraced by Hip Hop’s golden age. Rounding out the collection are a Multi-Stripe 1/4-Zip Sweater, an all-over printed Hoodie and Tee Shirt.
