From Mike’s bubble to the legendary runs on the UCLA campus or the Drew League, Los Angeles certainly has no shortage of iconic hoops venues outside of the professional game, but when it comes to blacktop competition, nobody can hold a candle to what the Venice Basketball League has built over the last few decades.
From the overall level of competition and league play to pioneering work on additional elements of the game like dunk contests, Venice has constantly pushed the envelope in keeping with their mantra: The game never stops. In addition to their colorful jerseys, it’s this steady pursuit of innovation that lets the VBL stand out from the crowd.
