How do you measure something as intangible as a level of passion? The short answer is, you don’t. You simply look at the Filipino community and admit that you’d be hard pressed to find someone who’s more passionate about the game of basketball. For their latest Air Jordan II release, Jordan Brand teams up with Filipino basketball specialty concept store TITAN for a collaboration that bridges past, present and future.
The WMNS lowtop is designed by Chi Loyzaga-Gibbs – a designer, artist, musician who is also the granddaughter of Filipino basketball hero, Caloy Loyzaga, who was instrumental in the team’s memorable run to win the bronze medal at the 1954 FIBA World Championships. Chi’s design pays homage to the legendary team while simultaneously creating a new chapter of her own with the help of the AJ II Low.
It features a white leather base, grey suede overlays and Chlorophyll green corduroy mudguards. An orange sockliner and tongue logo, teal-colored eyelets and a speckled midsole atop a sail-colored rubber sole round off the shoe which comes with a custom Titan-branded hangtag.
