Vans and Parra team up once again, bringing the Dutch artist’s unmistakable visual language back to one of the brand’s most enduring silhouettes. For their latest link-up, the Old Skool 36 becomes a canvas for Piet Parra’s off-kilter color sense and graphic restraint, staying rooted in skate heritage while nudging the classic just far enough out of line:
The collaborative Old Skool 36 is reworked with an all-suede upper, saturated hues, and custom wavy colorblocking that subtly distorts the shoe’s proportions. Parra’s typography appears across tongue labels and insoles, the latter arriving mismatched with playful reminders (“Don’t Forget To Skate In These”) and branding cues. A vulcanized sole, Sola Foam ADC cushioning, and Vans’ signature waffle outsole round out the pair.
The Vans x Parra OTW Old Skool 36 releases at BSTN on Thursday, January 22nd. Pick up your pair via the button below!
