As I walked down Tillary Street in Brooklyn, I stumbled across two playing fields located in the heart of the Ingersoll Houses. No one was playing except a half-asleep cat and hundreds of pigeons fighting over breadcrumbs. A kick in the paint was enough to make the flock take off and fly into the sky. This created a poetic perspective on two of the most common things in NYC: pigeons and basketball.
