Following his Air Jordan IV ‘Brick by Brick’ – already a mainstay in Shoe of the Year conversations – Nigel Sylvester is back with another highly anticipated drop: the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan I Low ‘Better With Time’. And it’s a heartfelt nod to the character and patina that a pair of favorite kicks develops when worn often, and worn well.
Dressed in tumbled black leather and accented with hand-applied scuffs, the pair wears its love for the everyday grind of BMX life on its sleeve. Fittingly, it comes with an artificially aged Sail midsole which, atop a vintage-look Varsity Red outsole, is matched by cream-toned laces. Signature branding comes by way of a stitched mini Swoosh as well as custom Bike Air logos on the tongue label and insole. Rounding out the release is a bespoke box, complete with bike silhouette graphics printed on the inside of the lid.
