After the initial drop of the Adistar Jellyfish (orange) became an instant success, Pharrell Williams and adidas return for their sophomore release of the collaborative project. Two new colorways of the bespoke silhouette pay homage to the artist’s roots in Virginia.
For Pharrell, Virginia is more than a place. For him, it’s also a mindset. The Jellyfish carries that idea forward, existing between land and sea, street and sculpture, utility and imagination.
The limited drop reimagines the classic adidas Adistar through Pharrell’s unique lens and aesthetic, blending the shoe’s performance heritage with sculptural, futuristic style. The flow of the midsole draws inspiration from the jellyfish native to the shores of Pharrell’s home state, while layered mesh, exoskeletal details, and custom “Jellyfish” and “VIRGINIA” touches round out the design.
