BEASTIN x OUTKAST STANKONIA PACK

The BEASTIN x OutKast collection releases on Friday, November 6th, exclusively at BSTN.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic Stankonia album, OutKast and BEASTIN are teaming up to release a limited-edition capsule collection. The collaboration is a benchmark moment in the brand’s history, as being from the bottom of the map themselves has given BEASTIN a sense of connection with OutKast from the get-go.

Creative Director Chris Boszczyk grew up a huge fan of OutKast, with one of his first and most prized vinyls being the 12-inch Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. The progressive off-beat style of Big Boi and André, in addition to OutKast’s courage to stick to their guns, have always been highly inspirational for the creative direction of BEASTIN.

I’ve been an admirer of OutKast since the days of Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. For me, they are definitely one of the most influential music acts across all genres because they have managed to create a style that somehow never gets old.

Chris “Fu“ Boszczyk, Co-Founder & Creative Director BEASTIN

The capsule collection consists of four tees, two hoodies, and two jewelry pieces (coming soon). Each apparel piece is made from premium quality cotton (210gsm for t-shirts, 530gsm for hoodies) and uses elaborate pigment dye techniques for pristine color output.

The main inspiration behind the pack is the entrance light at the legendary Stankonia Studios, which not only gave birth to the dirty south movement but revolutionized hip hop in general. In reference to the iconic neon sign, glow-in-the-dark prints are featured on selected pieces within the collection.

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the iconic album, BEASTIN and CERTIFIED have compiled “Stank You Smelly Much” playlist that you can find in its entirety here:
