With the third chapter of O.G. with a Twist, together with adidas we continue our shared series dedicated to revisiting original adidas silhouettes through a contemporary lens – celebrating the depth of the archive rather than simply looking back.
Following reinterpretations of the Samba and Handball Spezial, the spotlight now shifts to the adidas Oregon Ultra Tech.
Originally introduced in the early 1990s, the Oregon Ultra Tech reflects an era of expressive running design defined by bold proportions, layered construction and distinctive color combinations. While it never reached the universal recognition of some of adidas’ biggest icons, it remains a reminder of just how rich the Three Stripes archive truly is.
Rather than reinventing the silhouette, we chose a more restrained approach. Two fresh seasonal colorways – white, black and light blue alongside lilac and butter yellow – allow the Oregon Ultra Tech’s character to take center stage. Sometimes the strongest twist is knowing when not to overcomplicate things.
Leading the campaign is Real Madrid and Brazil national team legend Marcelo.
Creative, effortless and unmistakably authentic, the Brazilian football legend embodies the same quiet confidence that defines the Oregon Ultra Tech today. A player whose influence has always extended beyond the pitch, Marcelo represents the spirit of a silhouette that has found a new audience far from its original performance roots.
With the Oregon Ultra Tech, O.G. with a Twist continues to celebrate the originals. Chapter Three proves that the best twists don’t always start with the obvious choice.
Both colorways release on Saturday, August 22nd at 10 AM CEST – only at BSTN. Our communities will have the chance to secure their pairs early: early access in our Hamburg and Munich stores on Friday, August 21st. First come, first served.
