ASICS GEL-NYC 2.0 SSHS

ASICS and HAL STUDIOS continue to refine their shared design language via the GEL-NYC 2.0 SSHS Pack. Backed by NYC royalty like Nas and Raekwon, amongst others, the project looks to the structures and systems that quietly define the Big Apple. Two colorways anchor the release, both rooted in ’90s NYC culture and the eras that shaped HAL STUDIOS’ visual memory:

The Shaolin ’93 channels that energy through a bold yellow tone reminiscent of the signature colors of Staten Island’s Shaolin’s Wu-Tang Clan, while the Queens ’94 leans into muted greys and earthy hues – the latter likely nodding to the brickstone textures of the eponymous Queensbridge Projects. Material play takes center stage across both pairs, with layered mesh uppers, textured overlays, and the aforementioned tonal accents.

The Asics Gel-NYC 2.0 SSHS Shaolin ’93 and Queens ’94 release at BSTN on Friday, January 16th. Pick up your pair via the button below!
