The adidas Samba is no longer just what it originally was: a soccer shoe. The original model was designed in the late 1940s by adidas founder Adi Dassler. These were specifically developed to provide soccer players with better traction when they had to play on ice-covered fields. Today, the Samba is an integral part of the streetwear scene.
