The Vans Style 44 met with great enthusiasm among skaters in the 70s due to the legendary durability of its iconic profiled outsole. Due to its unique thickness, the sole was more durable and its tread design provided grip for more board control. The OTW Authentic 44 shoes reintroduce the striped seam design at the heel of the original handcrafted designs and a higher glossy sidewall.
