The original Nuptse products from The North Face from the 90s were named after the imposing neighbouring mountain of Mount Everest and were innovatively quilted. The 1996 Retro Nuptse Down Vest is a modern take on the classic. The boxy silhouette, the shiny ripstop fabric, the visible zip and diagonal side pockets and of course the same oversized quilting are characteristic of the down waistcoat. In addition, the 700 fill is made of responsibly produced down as well as a water-repellent surface. What's more, with a hood that can be stowed in the collar, the waistcoat can be folded up completely and stowed in the right pocket.
